So we are halfway through our 1st season back in the FL. Been a rollercoaster ride so far. Started off with amazing support at Burton and WHU. We had average results and then very poor run of 1 win in 8 games. Now we have won 5 out of the last 6! Are we hitting form? Is it cause McClean has come in? Although we seem to be sneaking these wins.
Long may it continue. I hope we have hit form and can carry it through to the end of the season. But at least we should be able to finish mid table. Unless we go on another disasterous run, we should be in this league for at least another year.

Any highlights so far or predictions for the 2nd half of the season?

I think the last 6 games just illustrates how one loss in that sequence isn't as disastrous as some people would have you believe. Some of the calls into Radio Oxford post Southend for Wilder to go were laughable. If we'd have won that game and drawn the next two away at Torquay and Aldershot (which would probably have pleased those callers more) we'd now be sat on one point less. Yes, we'd all like to see Oxford win every game, especially at home, but I suspect there will be other ups and downs to come between now and the end of the season. We just need to keep things in perspective.

If only - ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) We would have picked up one or two positive results in that awful sequence of 1 win and 7 defeats through October and November we could hve been challenging to break into the 3rd position in this division rather than knocking on the door of the playoffs. Overall we have to be satisfied with our 1st half of the season, we were a little naive in the 1st half a dozen games with our cavalry approach and getting picked off in the latter stages of games, however we have now seemed to have found our level, a level that will see our season go right to the wire with a chance sneaking into the playoffs right at the death. . COME ON YOU YELLOWS . Next 3 games - Bradford (H) - 2 - 0 to the Yellows Northampton (A) 2 - 2 Stevenage (H) will now be postponed (they are in FA cup 4th rd) Southend (A) Tricky place to go ?

Well, another way to look at it, is the season starts here and we are in a good position in 10th. If you had asked most people at start of the season that 1/2 way through we would have been 10th, 2 points off playoff zone, they would be happy.
However, it will be disappointing if our season slides away from such a good position. There is no reason why we can push on, I think we have the squad for it
