His goal at Torquay seems to have gone virtually unnoticed because of the exploits of Midson but what a strike it was. Its the sort of goal that shows a player is in confident mood and I'd keep him in today. The brave move by CW will be to play Craddock and Midson virtually as a pairing, one down the middle and one just off in a 433. They were two strikers oozing confidence and I'd give them a chance to build on that. It could also send the jitters up Aldershot when they look at the subs bench and see Constable and McLean on it.

Would agree with what you say. I reckon, unsurprisingly of course, that 4-3-3 will be the formation so Matt Green will be replaced by either Beano or McLean.

I find it interesting the criticism many fans aim at Wilder is that he's stubborn, has his favourites and if your aren't on of them then you're out, is exactly what has happened with a section of our support with Craddock. With Wilder proving he's not as stubborn as we thought by giving Midson a chance (which he grabbed with both hands), maybe the fans could do the same with Craddock?

Craddock is far from universally maligned. I know a few people who consider him their favourite player, and potentially better than Beano. However, as so often with Oxford, the moaners are more vocal, but it's not like they don't have a case to moan at him. Very much a luxury player, and not one we want when a goal down, generally. However, if we're ahead or level and playing well, he's the most potent threat at the club. Tricky to know what to think with him, but I do think he shouldn't get some of the poor reception he does.

Agreed and my comment wasn't aimed at the whole support, but perhaps those who think Midson has been hard done by, but think is fine to chant Beano whenever Craddock gets the ball.

He may not always put the effort in or doesn't look like he does but he will finish when you need. He's scored some important goals for us this season. IMO he's a class act just a bit lazy or not interested in digging in. But he seems to have improved on this.

I wouldn't say he's lazy at all
He is back defending when he needs to be. The only difference is that when defending he doesn't sprint and he doesn't sprint (normally) when closing down their defenders.

I didn't notice it much at the time but regarding his performance against Torquay, many of their fans suggested that he was key in keep Zebroski quiet, he seemingly had 2 markers at all times, it is the sort of stuff that can go unnoticed unless it's against your team. Is TC the new Matt Murphy??

Could well be. He seems to be criticised just the same but still produces the goods

I like him. He helps out in defence when needed, and he's a quality finisher - the standout goals at Hereford and Torquay come to mind. I know some of the time he doesn't seem committed, but i don't think he deserves a lot of the flak he gets.

When we get a one on one with the keeper 8 yards out, there's no-one else you'd want to tuck it away

Finishers wise I'd say
Craddock Midson Maclean Constable Green Potter
Midson second - i'd say he's such a great natural finisher, obviously so is Craddock Beano third - only behind Midson. He always gets in the right position at the right time, thats why he's got such a high goal/game ratio MacLean - seems more of a Heskey player at the moment - more prolific than him mind Green - class finishes in Bristol Rovers and York final but I think he gets a bit excited infront of goal normally Potter - seen him miss a few 1 on 1s - Macc away for example. Seen him score an important 1 in May though.

Is TC the new Matt Murphy?? Well done, Tommy had a terrific game against Chesterfield covering the space their winger required. And again Today TC was back helping Batt out on more than one occasion. His style of play is not to everyone's taste and he can give the ball away sometimes, but overall he is a terrific player from us who should have undivided support from us fans.

He could well be our top scorer this season. That alone should make him immune to a lot of comments, he is here to score goals.

Could somebody please list our scores (and their goal tally) for this season. I'm on the iPhone so oufc website is only the mobile one it says beanos on 8, jacks on 2 and doesn't list SM or TC in the squad!
