I reckon Mclaren could make this season. Wilder just commented on him but he's quality and exactly what we have needed in the midfield for a while. He's not 100% fit yet but still controlling it keeping the ball and just sticking passes through.

McLaren looks very accomplished. Does the dirty work well and can play a pass.

Mclaren and Clist were different class today. Worked there arses off, broke play up, but more importantly they kept the ball!

And ARSA Hall was a useless pile of shit he was Josh Payne different class Asa wasn''t shit yesterday nor at Torquay.Certainly not best player on pitch, but not the worst. Payne has been poor in most of his recent starts. Agree Payne did alright when came on, having McLaren behind him will hopefully bring best out of him. But slating Asa like that is uncalled for... What do we expect tho, most Oxford 'fans' just wana slate players

Well i must of seen a different game too you then . He could not put more than 2 passes together.and did not seem willing to tackle in fact he seemed to bottle any confrontation to win the ball.i am simply pointing out that Josh Payne in the short space of time on the pitch showed a lot more commitment to the cause That is my opinion

Yeh but it's also worth pointing out, when Hall was on we were sitting back and under pressure, once Payne came on we were really going for it trying to get another goal.

Yes, good article good player, as thought for some time. The experienced midfielder we’ve been looking for to break oppositions’ play. Hopefully he, Clist, and Payne (or Heslop if he rediscovers his early season form) can get a run of games together.
Slight concern is that he has been subbed (for Heslop) in both games to date. Presumable just a short-term match fitness issue.
Hall would not make my first choice XI either - but no need for the bile.
