Having said that, I still think England will win. :-)

England scoring at 10 an over and with 9 wickets left should easily pass 157.

8 and half overs to get 61 with 7 wickets left.

The Colly throws his wicket away.

Eventually England win by 1 wicket off the very last ball. Amazing......

8 T20 wins in a row now isn't it - a world record.

Because he was in superb form for Warwickshire last season and deserves a chance. Don't judge someone on 4 overs of T20. His batting saw us over the line today and he scored a first class hundred last season.

I thought we would win it, but boy was that close to the wire - Twenty20 entertainment doesn't get much better than that. Fantastic stuff.
I noticed that the England batting line is pretty strong all the way through to the tail with number 11 Ajmal Shahzad being the only one who hasn't scored a First class century. And to be fair to him, his batting isn't too shabby either with a batting average of 29 in 58 innings!

I wondered if we were a batsman short....
But great win! Was watching Sky on my mobile at work - looking forward to seeing the highlights later.
As far as the world cup go's, I do think that we will need Jimmy/ Broady to be fit if we are to stand a chance if winning it.
We won today due to the belief and confidence in the squad

England made a good recovery here. Aussies 57 for 1 from 6 overs to 102 for 5 from 14. Perhaps win number 9 in a row for England is acheivable.

Target is 148. Should be achievable with KP on form.

Just fell short. Why didn't we up the pace a bit? We have a strong tail with the top 10 all having scored centuries at First Class level, and Shazad's batting isn't too shabby either. We should have won that.

Agreed - it was one that got away, still no disaster.
Not sure the balance of the team is right with Colly out of form and Wright so hit and miss.
Thought we were a batsman short in the last game but just got away with it - not so this time.
Still, no disaster. The 50 over warm up games are more important. Will be interesting to see which quickies they play in these first 4 games before Jimmy returns. Tremlett and Finn still there?
I think Broad is fit for the WC but will not be available for the one dayers

Struck me that a few more runs (or an earlier dismissal) of Wright might have made the difference. He was almost permanently on strike while partnering Morgan, and taking dots or singles when 2s were required.

Apparently Mrs Ponting phoned the Aussie dressing room during one of the tests looking for her old man.
Sorry said 12th man - he's just gone in to bat.
It's ok - I'll hold she replied!
