Evening all A lot of people are starting to ask whether a 12th Man category would be a good idea. What do you think. If this is a landslide, then I will put one in when I get a moment. Cheers.

I hope there is a 12th Man Category, I have an idea...
Plus the league is more expensive so we need The 12th Man more than ever.

I'm the dissenter so far - but I hope there's some method to my madness.
I think a 12th man section can work, but as per the old TiU this follows the same section layout - and I assume the 'matches' section will end up getting the most posts and views and interest (and of course things that should be in other sections).
Having a separate Section COULD mean that it gets the sort of attention that the 'management' section did - all that then would happen is that any good ideas and initiatives would still be in the matches section to generate interest?
Happy to be proved wrong! But that's why I went for a not bothered - I am bothered about the 12th Man, but I'm not fully sure there's a desperate need for a devoted section?

I disagree, this is because this time we actually HAVE admins. On the old forum you could put anything anywhere and it wouldn't ever be moved. With the new forum i'm sure stuff will be put in its right place, therefore it would teach people to put stuff in the correct place whatever. I do think though that all the non-matches stuff should be put into 'Misc', like 'where is concrete bob, who is ericread' If it its moved to the misc section then people will almost 'know' to put it there in the first place. It depends on the activity of the admins in my opinion.

Sorry, I think you missed some of my main point (I can ramble).
There is the potential 'irony' in that creating a 12th man section, it has less views and becomes more ignored - actually then reverting to needing to post in the Matches section to remind people.
You create a section to highlight it, but then in doing so it gets brushed under the carpet a little.
Like I said, happy to be proved wrong tho.

If its got a little blue dot instead of a little grey dot then i'm gonna go on it! (if you get me?)

I'm obviously in the minority on this - but I do think the fact that this poll has ben posted in the matches section, rather than the 'what do you think' section illustrates it.

I am with yelloexile on this.

definite yes for me. ideas can't get lost within all the other threads. add on top of that, it only needs one person to see it and raise it at a meeting etc for the idea to become widely listened to.

Agree totally, and i think it shows why we need a 12tn man section. The matches section is very busy, and to often, good topics disappear to quickly

But in Avatar wise he's topped you i'm afraid
