With the right exposure off the back of the Wembley final if we whipped up some momentum could we get the first saturday home game with Bury to a sell-out. with the seetickets database, surely we could get hold of those and persuade some of them to come done for the first game to try to get some momentum up.
We have just about long enough to do it and create a great atmosphere even if we ended up with 9 or 10 thousand can we all get behind it at make it happen do you think?

I think it's possible, with the right marketing.
The club seem very quiet on this (and the Burton game), and I suspect they are still concentrating on the Leicester and Man Utd games.
Maybe we will see some effort put into this game once Man Utd are out of the way. It would be a shame to miss the opportunity.

No chance - way too many people on holiday in August to get that sort of crowd - 7k tops.

With the right marketing it is definetely do able, a summer afternoon, first game back in the league, just won the play offs - it would be a great way to start the season and some of the fans may stick with it if it goes well.

Burton tickets come out next week, approx 1200 tickets available to Oxford. I believe it's not going to be all ticket for the Burton end.

The key for topping 10,000 is getting some of the casuals that went to Wembley to go. The club also need to really promote it and get the local media to buy into attracting 10,000 there. There are already posters for August's games on www.oxkits.Co.uk

You'll notice them in the North stand.

?? I think it's a joke, linking the words "casual" and "firm". Not a bad effort I suppose. Assuming Bury only bring 300 or so, 8,000 would be marvellous, and achievable I would have thought.
