Call me old fashioned but I just don't get Subway It's too confusing in there, they've made the simple sandwich far too elaborate. All I can hear is 'foot-long' this and 'Honey Oat Bread' that. You need a degree to work it out, all those different fillings, different breads. All I want is a cheese roll, I asked for that once and they just looked at me like I was from another planet.... What's the world coming to?

They're opening a new Subway in Yarnton of all places.
I only find that odd as the city centre hasn't even got one.

What's the world coming to? This sort of confusion is apparently what led to the York players going mental and smashing the place up. They couldn't handle the amount of choice and lost the plot! ;D

I don't get why people are unable to work out how to order in subway. I'll admit it is a bit daunting going in for the first time as there is a bit of an of information overload in some cases however, the basic sequence: length, choice of bread, filling, salad, sauce, pay is exteremly simple.

What if you just want a cheese roll? What bread do you want it on? There you have it, you've just complicated a simple transaction. I want a slice of cheddar in a crusty roll, with butter

You won't find cheddar or crusty rolls in Subway - a distinctly American import remember.

Good thread. There is a gap in the market for a crusty cheese filled roll made to order. Good business opportunity for someone.

It would be unwise to base a whole business around a miserly and not that popular flavour of breaded snack.
Add a choice of breads, some extra fillings, salad choices, and perhaps even a sauce and you've got yourself a winning plan. Isn't there already someone who 'fills' that gap in the market though?
