That's entirely not true, as if the speed of their connection is not up to par for whatever reason, you won't be getting enough speed to stream a video or play an online game successfully. Test your connection at www.speedtest.net and see what connection speed you're getting. If there are no problems and you're getting what you should be, it could also be a problem with your PC and how it's receiving the video - proxy or firewall issue etc.

Where are you trying to watch video from? A lot of sites use Flash or Silverlight to embed video, check your installations for these.

I forgor to say i normally get to about 5-6 seconds in before the problems start. Trying on a iPhone 3gs and 2 separate laptops without no joy.. I can watch videos if I'm on someone elses wifi or through btfon or openzone just not through this one...

Is you ISP preventing you from streaming vids for some reason - not sure if a download limit would affect this? What about your security software/settings? If you can use the same laptops/iphone and get access through someone else's ISP without problem, it would suggest there's an issue with your provider or your router.

Re the last bit, yep works fine everywhere else.. When u spoke to them and had a engineer out he said the speeds were fine and there was no reason for it not to work normally...

We had issues with BT last year. After a weeks long wild goose chase we eventually got them to admit their connection speed was not up to scratch (we were supposed to be getting 4-6 meg and were actually getting something south of 0.5) We asked them if we could perhaps get a reduced bill or a refund because we weren't getting what we were paying for, they said they were upgarding the exchange and it wasn't their fault - basically lump it. I'd steer clear of BT if i were you.
You might be having trouble because you've gone over your download limit. If you do that they'll choke you down to a low speed at peak times under their fair use policy. Are you able to stream etc late at night or early in the morning?

Not got near any limits as don't really download or stream...
