And there were millions of Christians who didn't want their country to go to war.

Were luckly in this country because our main religion (cristianity) isn't fanatical these days, you would suppose this leaves you to make your own mind up. Not always though. Although i didn't grow up in a church going family, i firmly believed in god ect. until my mid twenties. And I can remember finding it frustrating that friends had the view that religion was ridiculous. I knew that they had theweight of evidence on their side but this didn't seem to matter. Eventually, I thankfully reasoned tings out. looking back, I cant believe I was so gullible, but that's what can happen if your fed that crap from a young age. I would love to think that we're all free to make up our own mind but you're just not. These days I have a different problem, my young daughter go to a C of E school ( the only one in the village ). The level of religious brain washing is alarming. I try to offer a different point of view, but this alarms my girls as their convinced that only evil people don't beleive.....That's how cults work isn't it?
I see very cleary now....Religeon is nothing but a cult

The brain washing is quite scary. I went to a christening at the church down St Aldates last year and was quite shocked. The priest was constantly going on about giving money to the church, actually stating that you should give 10% of your salary or something like that! of course the church needs to raise money but surely the message to people should be give what you can afford? It is nothing but a cult and I found it pretty disturbing.

The RC church has a lot to answer for, thank god this country is Protestant! Although some of the reformed churches have their problems also so i would be out of order if blamed all religious problems at the door of the vatican... Its just mostly their fault
