Different sports obviously have different skill levels, but you'd have to go a long way to find anyone with Ronnie's skill in another sport. Maybe Phil the Power?

The thing with Ronnie though is temperament. Imagine how many World Titles he would have won given Hendry's match temperament...

How many world titles has Phil Taylor won now? No one will ever overhaul the total for sure.

Phil Taylor is more of a Hendry / Schumacher / Federer than an O'Sullivan
Snooker is one of those games where not always the most gifted players succeed, you need a good temprement like SteMerrit said.
I watch the documentary about Alex Higgins, when Steve Davis emerged and he changed the game altogether by playing snooker a bit like poker. When all the new players coming through copied Davis's style players like Higgins were a rarity. I think that's where Snooker has gone downhill a bit recently, too many boring players like Dott and Ebdon grinding it out and not enough flambouyant players like White & O'Sullivan

The most successful player, Hendry, was a grinder too. I liked that Brazilian who Mark Williams beat yesterday. You could see why he took snooker up and not football.

"What's the point of making a 147 if they're only going to give you four grand for it?" - so speaks a real ambassador for the sport...

That's irony though Ronnie probably didn't intend it.

That's irony though Ronnie probably didn't intend it. Didn't he have to be encouraged to pot the final black? Not sure if it really was irony. He should give the £4k to charity if it's that meaningless for him.

SO Ronnie O'Sullivan v Neil Robertson. 1st to 5 frames. I think Ronnie will do something strange tonight.

shame about paul hunter he was a very good player Yes RIP - he was an amazing talent. Is he the one who had a shag during the mid session interval at a tournament once?

He was an amazing talent but when I see Neil Robertson I think wow. And to be honest I would not mind getting just £4000 for making a 147. Come to think of it if I could do it just once I would be soooo happy
