Apparently he's on channel 4 tomorrow with a new one off showman special in which he attempts to crash a jumbo jet and it's up to one ordinary member of the public to save everyone on the plane by piloting it to safety.
Sounds interesting as i've always liked his shows but some are a bit anticlimatical. Thought the lottery one was hillarious as it just proved how gullable the public are when he gave his solution which turned out to be nonsense and then everyone was annoyed at him for misleading them in not being able to win the lottery! Still don't know how he did that but based on some of his psychological experiments, there is probably an easy solution.
Should defo be worth tuning in.

The best one ever! www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVThCpMPON0The best bit is when the camera zooms out and you see the guy with the novelty sized check standing there thinking 'I probably don't need this anymore'.

not poor taste with 9/11 coming up? Ah, you're making the mistake of putting taste and channel four in the same category.

I've just watched it today.... The biggest load of made up bullshit I have ever seen in my entire life. In the last couple of years Derren Brown has gone right down hill with these ridiculous set ups. He should stick to what he used to do in the early years and not these huge over elaborate bullshit stories. There is just no way you can summons someone out of bed, get him dressed, take him out to a field, get him to stroke an alligator, take him home and stick him back in bed, and for him to think it was all a dream. Total bullshit.... and it was like that all the way through.

I agree, he is no doubt very clever and can manipulate peoples minds to an extent, but he should stick to what is believable
I think he lost a lot of credibility after the lottery thing

Yep he was very believable up until that lottery thing. Now its just total bullshit. You'd have to be extremely gullible to believe what he does now.

The public were expecting a solution in which everyone could then go on and win the lottery except Brown's secret was revealed as nonsense which left the public annoyed but they should have been embarrased. At the end of the day he did 'predict' the lottery results which he said he would and the only reason he was criticised for it was due to the strange solution he gave. 1-0 to Brown over the public yet again.

Total bullshit.... and it was like that all the way through. Agree with that. Saw on the box not so long a go one of his live appearences which was a psychologial masterclass of dmisdirection and tricks with the mind. At the end of the show he revealed how he did everything and then encouraged people to watch the show again so you could point out how he duped a thousand people with some simple methods. He's somehow moved towards the magic aspect which means he may have exhausted his material or he wants to try new things however magic as we know is all nonsense yet what he used to do was an outstanding display of real mental and mind trickery and provided answer on how he achieved what he set out to do with convincing evidance. Lately it has been around magic such as the lottery and with the explanation he gave, it was all rubbish yet he lost alot of respect for turning his 'act' into a paul daniels or david blaine sharade. If anyone has seen Derren Brown: Something Wicked This Way Comes it is incredible if you haven't its a must watch from a few years ago.

But surely a prediction has to be revealed before the result? Even not knowing exactly how he did it, I didn't think it was in any way impressive because he didn't even do it in front of an audience. Anyone could have done it, it didn't use any of his supposed talents. I predicted all of last saturdays football results. I can reveal my predictions now if anyones interested...

I can't believe I just wasted my life watching that turd tonight. Read the thread before I watched it but decided to give it a go anyway. Absolute bullocks!! Mystic Meg does a better job, I can't really understand how he thinks people can believe it. I don't really know what was more ridiculous; the jack in the box? The crocodile? The whole plane thing that went from day to night in the simulator. Utter rubbish
