Never understood the appeal of WOW. Pretending to be a poorly animated imaginary character on a game played seemingly exclusively by the worst type of geek, thus spending an inordinate part of your life on the internet doing nothing constructive really isn't my thing. Same reason i don't do faceache, twitter or any of that other sh#te.
Saying that i would be prepared to be persuaded but it'd be a f#cking hard sell.

I prefer World War 2 games when I have the chance, like Blitzkrieg 2.
But I prefer playing with myself, as its too hard playing online

I'm totally with you there...I'll have the odd game of pro evo with mates, but that aside computer games are for kids and geeks however, you can't really compare it to facebook etc because most normal people use this not just geeks!

Facebook (and probably twitter although Ive never used it) are different because its a way of keeping in touch with people whereas as far as I know, WoW is some very nerdy game on the internet.

I'm not saying that facebook etc are the same as warcraft, merely that they can have the same effect on people. I.e. they become dependant on their computers, spend all of their time on them doing nothing worthwhile and have a nervous breakdown if unable to access their profile for more than three hours.
What's wrong with meeting people physically? Fair play if your facebook pals live a long way away then you can't exactly meet them down the local for a beer, but what's wrong with a letter. Or a phone call, or email for that matter. There are ways of contacting your nearest and dearest without getting sucked into some kind of virtual reality, posting a bunch of embarrasing photos of yourself and having your boss read a load of dispariging comments you wrote while p#ssed.
