Hobbies? Like HK, travelling II'm not sure of the number of countries, I'll work it out. Checked it, only 28) Tennis BridgeDriving (anything form a HGV to a sports car). Computers (I help people with computer problems and occasionally teach) Chinese calligraphy Forums (where do I find the time for the other things from) I love a game of Bridge. I am shite but play mostly on Bridge Base because I only know 4 people who can play bridge and 2 of them live miles away. Also only been to Rhodes (Greece), Barcelona (Spain), Zurich (Switzerland), Sharm El Sheikh (Egypt), New York (USA) and Cyprus. Never been to Scotland or Ireland (North or Republic). YH I am pretty sure (as of 8 years ago) that Cyprus is one country but both sides are split government-wise (don't quote me on that). Zurich shouldn't count because it was a plane transfer and I was in Switzerland for no more than 15mins.

Only the Greek part is recognised. North Cyprus claims to be a separate country but is only recognised by Turkey. I head it's full of booze and strip clubs - guess that explains why you and Yellowhoods went there!

Model kits for me. Just finished a nice 1:72 Avro Vulcan kit in 60s anti-flash white. 'Twas a right b#gger avoiding getting fingerprints all over the pristine paintwork.

This really does show we are a diverse lot and some well travelled. I think the "fan" has changed over the years.
Is there anyone that has never been out of the country?

Mal, so for a couple of reasons they don't count for you. Most important one being you have not actually been there and when naming how many countries you have been to that ones important.

Just a thought would people consider the Balearic and Canary islands separate countries or are they all under Spain.

Thought as much but worth asking, so i guess then the Falkland’s don’t count. hmmm...not sure I would say that does count as they are a self-governed overseas territory of the UK rather than a part of it. But then what about Jersey or the Isle of Man?

It's not easy on my IPhone. Agree Jersey and Guernsey are two different countries to the UK? Two more to the total.

39 so far, need a map to be sure. UK so not including England ect. After looking at the map and a conversation with Amarillo about Jersey and Guernsey the correct total is actual 43. I’m going to Singapore later this year so will be 44.
