I'm beginning to miss TIU.
I thought this forum could replace it, but as each day goes by, and there is more and more of this school prefect behaviour, I'm having my doubts that it ever will.
It needs less policing, more posters from other clubs to argue with, and more of the heavyweights from TIU posting.

I don't think anything can replace tiu, but this is a replacement... give it time.. tiu took years to be how it was.

I think all of the mods would prefer some off today's thread moves did not happen but I assure you East has the situation under control and has the full support of the mods. Let's be honest 4 weeks ago this thread only had 150 members. Today it's over 850. Rapid growth will always create some teething problems. Let's all work together to make this forum better than TIU. After all it's our Yellows Forum.

like I said it will take time to become similar to tiu.
once the season progresses I'm sure even more posts will be made...this place is more active than the new tiu...

I'm really liking the new forum, replaced TiU far better than I expected it to, and there's an app for it on the apple AppStore. I must admit, the moving of threads is annoying, who cares if it's in the wrong section?

On average you have less than 20 members and about 30 lurkers reading this site, hardly setting the world alight. Where are all the "heavyweight" posters, rage on line etc because they are not posting on here enough.

If everything is so wrong: ticket allocations; the forum, it appears you disapprove of an awful lot. Why are you on here, how would you improve everything? Trying to be constructive.

I think we should resist going down the "if you don't like it go elsewhere" route. There lies the road to ruin.
Everyone appreciates the efforts ESB is putting in in Yellows' absence, but people will speak as they find and that is to be encouraged, surely, if this forum is to grow in an inclusive manner?
For my part, I've already decided to give up mod status (OK, it was never really me anyway) because I perceive some of the remaining mod population to be wholly inappropriate for the role and I don't wish to be associated with them. I know two TiU heavyweights who are not posting due to their frustration over this issue.
Too much emphasis on pointless housekeeping, not enough on making this a reasonable place for discussion for the adult majority.
Sorry if that view offends, but there we are.
PS For clarity, the mods I'm referring to know who they are.

Strange thing is, this is called a discussion forum if you can't hack it why are you here?

I am very comfortable to discuss different points of view as you can clearly read from my post but your only points is, this is rubbish, this does not work ect. As I said do you have any ideas how to improve anything? It's really easy to criticise the difficult part is to come up with solutions that everyone is happy with.

I can't understand what gave you the impression about "this is rubbish" blah blah blah. Idea, don't moderate stuff needlessly. David was good because he was anonymous, and acted when required, there seems to be a lot on ego trips at the moment about being a "mod", can you put more effort in keeping this site alive and flowing the status quo will come with time.

I think you might be under estimating the numbers slightly - going by the info centre numbers at the current time: Total Members: 848 Most users online was 222, Aug 11, 2010, 10:40pmMaybe though the mods should become less officious and stop moving threads (even if the odd one or two are in the wrong section). Maybe there should also be fewer mods!

Agree completely. I am sure people have learnt a lot today in time as I have said a few times this evening people and post will settle down. Let's give it time.
