Hands up all those who think the old TiU was a great forum. OK, that's everyone then.
So does it not make sense to try to emulate a great forum?
STOP moving threads. Who cares if they're in the wrong section? That was part of TiU culture.
STOP indulging attention-seeking schoolkids.
STOP making any more of them mods FFS.
Let's invite a little more "edge" to the forum. A little more Luton Outlaws and little less Histon Glassworld Gab.

And I fully expect it to be moved soon, which sort of proves a point.

True - should be in the "thoughts on forum" section. Is there a moderator out there prepared to move it? If not, make one. I won't respond myself in keeping with the second recommendation.

It actually annoyed me on TIU when topics were simply put into 'Matches', so more people would read them. I haven't got a prob with admin moving threads.

Although I'm now struggling to make this post more edgey and less Sedgeley. Hopefully it will calm down and become less 'facebook' in around 2 or 3 weeks. From memory, being what it is, TiU used to get like this when the kids are off and the debate turns to staying up late and 'American Pie' style shenanigans (sp?).

I can understand your frustration. I think.
1. Damned if you do. Damned if you don't. I didn't personally move any threads today, but some people are like 'wrong section' on most threads.
2. Can you endulge us on your point. Because it seems this thread is trying to get a bite.
3. I'm the only mod whos under 20. (I think) I have been inactive of late. Posting only sort of thing.
YH Mate I have no like problem with you but you seem to have a problem with my age. To which I can't understand.
Yes, you got me to bite. Again.

When a thread gets removed, the origninal post still appears saying it has been moved but the topic is locked and doesn't delete it. I found it ironic earlier that a thread similar to this talking about moved topics was moved!

How many mods are there? Can we limited power to just being able to delete a post thread (if offensive) rather then the current power to move any thread they like

we need to make a decision... its hard because some people have no problem with threads being moved but some do, were not here to be controlling. would you guy prefer it if we just moved things totally irrelevant to oufc to the national and international forums?

It seems to me, not just because my age, but one of the youngest posters on this forum (OX26) is the most prolific posters that will ever be on here. We don't just post mindless inputs, but things that people might take an interest in.

Being prolific does not reflect quality. Some of both of your posts are of wider interest, many are not.

I never said that I was on a run chase. I clearly stated that I was 'near 100' 'near 500' 'I am probably going to be the first to 1000' 'I made it to 1000'.
I don't post for the sake of it mate. It may seem it, but I honestly don't.
TNS is avoided by most because its not OUFC related. I can understand people wondering why its on an OUFC forum.
However its welcome to all sorts of banter. Football related especially.
I'll happily admitt a few of my posts aren't the best. But I resent the idea that I post 'for the sake of it'

The problem for me is that 'moved' threads remain in the 'wrong' section and just clog up the said page. I looked this afternoon at work and there were at least 4 threads on the first page of matches with 'moved'. If you just left them to go their natural course it wouldn't be a problem in my opinion. All of them were football related, I could understand if they weren't.
