Could his influence on the Rovers first team be behind their atrocious start ?

Probably more to do with Rovers losing 10 players in the summer.

I thought he was just the youth team manager?
Anyway surely he is confident that rovers have a good bunch of lads who will turn it around!?

I didn't see him but according to someone in the South Stand, he was hiding on the bench and made a rapid dash down the tunnel at half time covered by the subs.
Very embarrasing night for him and after his display here which he admitted that we were in a relegation battle despite finishing the season with almost a play-off place with lord Wilder coming in.

Not true, I was right by the tunnel clapping the boys off at half time and at the end. Patto was the last BRFC official down the tunnel at half time as he had stood watching all the team head off first. His face was a picture. At the final whistle he was in the tunnel for about 30 secs before heading down to the dressing rooms and shook hands with mad dog first.

I bet Matt Green enjoyed last night a little more than most given Patto claimed he had dodgy knees.

Could be. Mind you he could go on and become very successful. Plenty of managers have failed in their first appointment and gone on to do very well later
