who put the 1986 sign up wonky ? Some bell-end without a spirit level, it would appear.

Bit of an anti-climax on the whole sign thing, I wasn't blown away and thought there would be some graphics or a bit more coverage of the grey concrete.
Appreciate the intentions of course!

Unfortunately, they could have done with being a bit bigger.

Even if the signs are slightly underwhelming they do at least add a bit of colour to the otherwise bland grey Kassam concrete. They also create more of a sense of the ground being 'ours' rather than simply a place where we happen to play our home matches. Anyhting that adds a bit of colour and a sense of belonging should be applauded IMO.

Anyone got any pictures? You can't see them if you are in the SSU.

Surely the wonky 1986 one can be altered if someone was informed?

Surely the wonky 1986 one can be altered if someone was informed? Well guess you check it out with a level yourself, or go to spec savers. It's an illusion with the wires running above and below that are not parallel, the tape was not properly removed from the signs also this helped make them look out of square.

They are alright I guess. It's better than just plain old concrete.
Any pictures of the boards about yet?

Oxvox often gets slated for being out of touch, but I reckon they've got this one right. Members weren't sent begging emails asking for funds, nor were there endless discussions with members about whether it was a good idea or not. They (the committee presumably) got on with it and made it happen.
It is more colour inside the stadium, and alllowing for the Oxvox 'mission statement' at the end of the South Stand, mercifully free of advertising or 'sponsored by Mr Cropper' etc.
A nice reminder of our history, although most people who will remember the ancient history will be wrapped up warm in the South Stand and unable to see the boards.
