TIU served us for many a year, and now it's under a different guise. But it's still there! I think we all should take a peek from time-to-time and make the odd post. Afterall we would'nt want all our eggs in one basket- would we ?

Afterall we would'nt want all our eggs in one basket- would we ? I think that most peoples thoughts are, it's not there. All our history deleted. Therefore it's just a new forum and this one is much better.

Can't really see any point in being on the new Oxford Mail forum and I don't even both looking there (just like the official oufc forum it's a bit pointless) The fact that it's operated by Newsquest is the only link to the old TiU... none of the historical threads are there.
If you don't want all your egss in one basket just use the established RageOnline forum for a different point of view.

I have a look now and the only to find two or three posts for the day. It quite sad to see what was once a great source of info, gossip and plain old waffle just go down the toilet. Having said that it was their own fault.

I would probably take the occasional peek, if I wasn't banned for recruiting, but I really believe none of us should be posting on the new Oxford Mail forum.
They have treated us lamentably after years of loyal posting and we should not give them - or their advertisers - any encouragement.

Maybe "whatever" is part of new Oxford mail site. Advertising is paid per hit so convincing everyone to go and post now and again on the new site helps the Oxford mail. Why for the love of god would we want to do that the way they have treated us.
I said maybe I have no evidence that they are but it is a possibility.

Maybe "whatever" is part of new Oxford mail site. Somebody with my level of cynicism!! I thought that could be the case as well, and also with the user 'yellow bosun' on the Oxford Mail site saying pretty much the same thing.

Just looked at the oxford mail site and if it was not for Yellow bosun they would have almost no posts. I hope the advertisers who paid for space on the back of the amount of people using the site ask for their money back. I for sure will not click any link that is associated to that site.

They said the old tiu would be archived but they've taken it down completely probably out of spite. If they had just put the ads at the top instead of the side would have been fine.
Betfair changed their forum a few months ago from a very simple superfast forum to a clunky slow one and usage has really dropped off. A few seeds are there trying to start topics like "what's your favourite kids tv show".

TIU is well and truly buried but I often wonder what happened to the guy that was just a couple of hundred postings away from the magic 100,000 mark
