Is there a need for so many forum moderators? What can they add to a small forum?

6 mods isnt loads really, TiU was the complete opposite, un-managed which lead to easy spamming which really annoyed me. Mods are not here to censor every post and be pedantic.I would hope we never have to make any deletions on here.

7 including the Admin.
Point is, that those 7 posters have posted a vast chunk of the forum threads and responses. Shouldn't a moderater be someone who takes a backseat and is more impartial?

Well i think most people who would take a back seat wouldn't post much therefore won't visit enough? You need to have Mods who are active, cos you know they are regularly on here. Were not here to police every single word that's written, i believe in free speech up to a point

I think that a forum that supports images and avatars, should always have a few people on the lookout. We're not really moderators and admin as such, like you would get on a third party run forum, we are all just bog standard Oxford United fans at the end of the day. It may seem a lot of moderators, but thats only because we are posting and joining in with the fun.
