This would be my preferred line-up for home games (I think we might be less attack-minded away)
Clarke Batt Creighton Wright Kinniburgh Bullman Hall Heslop Green Constable Philliskirk

You would play the new lad without seeing him play once?

I don't think we should sacrifice Tonkin's blistering form, as good as Kinni is. If Tonkin is injured, or stops being quite so impressive I think it's vital that Kinni steps in, considering how good he is. And yeah, the new guy... I'd start Deering, Cole or Midson ahead of him having not seen him. Probably Midson, just to see whether he can start to deliver, but Cole is probably the safest choice. Deering runs rings round tired defenses, so he's probably more likely to see appearances as a sub. Apart from that, and maybe Worley ahead of the beast, spot on selection there. That midfield is brilliant.

I have said before but I can not remember being in such a strong position picking an Oxford team for what seems like for ever.

Quite straight forward selection for me.
Clarke
Batt, Creights, Wright, Tonks
Heslop, Bully, Hall
Green, Beano, Midson
Subs Eastwood, Worley, Kinni, Philliskirk, Potter, Deering, Cole
Could bring in Woodley for any of Potter, Deering or Cole but they can all play as part of a 3 forward line anyway if not the central role but Midson could do that. Also, Franks could replace Worley or move into the sub position if Worley replaces Wright (ie. his injury situation from Man Utd XI game?).
Assumes Clist, Baker and Purkiss injured and therefore not considered.

But only because if you look on the "Burton watch" thread...the burton defence are all 30ish and id fancy a wing attack of green and cole to rip them to pieces. EDIT: i misread the thread and thought this was about Burton. but id still rather have pure pace on the wings.

I worry that Creighton will be suceptable to players with more ball skills in league 2 - he won't be shown up too often, but I wouldn't relish Creights facing up Adam Le Fondre for example. I think Worley will have more about him at this level, and Franks may even be the best overall option in time. He looks very assured to me.
