I see Wilder was refusing to name the trialist who played last night, strange, teams normally do this when they're interested in signing them. I wonder if Baker's injury is going to be a bit longer than expected and this midfielder may be being looked at as cover

You could well be right, but it does seem strange that he's being kept a secret. Would have hoped for a striker though

Wouldnt really say it was strange that the trialists name wasnt publicised. He obviously wants to keep the name of the midfielder trialist who played last night under wraps, and doesnt want it floating about in the press, and doesnt want other clubs to get wind of him being at us.. suggests to me we are definitely interested, cant see why though as our midfield is sorted now I think. Only reason I can see that player maybe coming in on a short term deal is if Richie Baker and Simon Clist are going to be out for a little while yet.

Whatever the reason I wasn't overly impressed with his performance in that match. Mind you there were precious few players that impressed in that match!

I would go as far as to say he played as well as the rest of them which isn't saying much. Kinniburgh had a decent game and Deering put himself about well but after 30 minutes you just knew that no matter how long OUFC played for they were not going to score. Still, with half the probable 1st team not playing we can hope for better come next Saturday.

I thought he had a decent game, but like you said shame the rest of the team was wank Potter, done nothing,Cole the same, just ran straight at there player rather than trying to get down the wing.. What did get to me thou was the lack of attack play at corners, just seem to let there keeper come for the ball every time...

the players ive spoke to said that none of them could be arsed with the friendly, calling it a shitty little game! That's a great attitude to have when people have paid money to see them play. Maybe they should have let the paying public know they couldn't be arsed beforehand.

Doubt thats the truth from Junior to be honest, although he does tend to stalk the players on facebook maybe they saw it as an attempt just to improve their fitness and get game time ahead of the burton game?

Playing like a bunch of tossers isn't exactly going to enhance their chances of playing at Burton though, is it?

Why don't we all guess who it is...£1 a go, if we sign him or at the end of the season Wilder reveals who it was, whoever guesses correctly wins? Proceeds to the 12th man

The one who plays for Grimsby? Also, Lee Peacock is covered in tatoos and the trialist had no visible ink.

I spoke to my contact at the club today, the only people who know the mystery trialists name are Chris Wilder,Mickey Lewis and the ref of that game. However,i do know that the lad is English but has been playing in Slovenia for the past 2 years at a similar level to league 2 here. Ive had a look and can only find 2 English players playing in Slovenia, and neither are called "Rich". They are Jamie Sheldon and Ben Gill both Midfielders at a club called Interblok Ljubljana.
