Beano had a bit of a disaster last season, and now Chappers isn't an option. Any thoughts on who might step up to take them? Will Beano be given another chance?

I cannot see the Beast taking penalties on a permanent basis to risky if they are saved. The player also needs to be a regular starter. This rules out Midson. Two trains of thought here, firstly and my preferred option, hopefully Beano’s been working on them during the closed season and scores everyone. However there is the possibility of Hall or Cole being given the role.

Hall, Heslop or Clistoris. They all have a good clean strike of the ball.

i think beano will still be wanting to take them, however,if he misses his first one i think hall or heslop will take over.

I think Heslop will be on them. As a side note, how refreshing is it to have a player who can whip a corner in?

Agreed on that, and Asa for free kicks? I've got a feeling we're going to get more from set pieces this season. Wilder said in the latest Oxford Mail news that they haven't practiced set pieces yet.
I don't believe him.

I don't believe him. Rubbish. Not your words the words from the Oxford Mail. Watched on Saturday and you can see they have been working on set plays.

Beast would be good a good penalty taker a reckon. But I think Cole will be on pens and Hall when Cole isn't on the pitch.
I think Cole will take corners if Didcot is anything to go by, and Heslop/Hall will take the free kicks.

I fancy Beano to start off taking them, but the minute that goes wrong, Asa Hall or Simon Heslop to take over, both have got clean strikes. Agree with Dougie's point aswell, its nice to see we finally have players who can take a good corner.

rambler and Verbal Kint...true enough. Though for all of his failings, I had almost 100% confidence in Duffy scoring from the spot. He didnt even hit it hard, just stroked it in. Here's another question, best penalty taker in the game? Probably Le Tiss for me.

That's great, but I'd like to see him take more than that one before I back him from the spot. For all we know he shanked it!
