Realistically should have got a point, and maybe more. Sometimes the ball doesn't run for you , today was one of those days. We we technicallly better than decent opponents. Thought our fullbacks both did well, especially Batt, they are very important to our attacking flow. Plenty of skill up front but too intricate. We are not bleedin' Arsenal, when you see the whites of the goal posts, hit it! Our lack of pace in midfield makes us vulnerable to counter attack; Clist looked leggy maybe time for a rest. My first trip to Sixfields, not a great arena for football legends is it? Bland lego stadium in bland retail park blancmange that could be anywhere in England. I reckon Cobblers are in a false position and will be up challenging for playoffs. Along with us. Late on the game after Northampton scored their winner, an unintelligent obnoxious, foul mouthed young tw** standing with a group of ten mates at the back towards the half way line decided to viciously slag off the Oxford players on an individual basis for the rest of the game. My particular 'favourite' was Heslop being called a 'useless sp****c c*** 'some 30 seconds after he had come on as sub. Anyone else hear some of the disgraceful pontifications of this promsing young orator? Sure we take plenty away and generally create a good atmosphere but it took a bit of the gilt off of a good day out

You are always more aware of some of the brain surgeons at away games.

r ef and linesmen were not fit for the conference! We should never have lost that game! Didn't want to drink in their crappy pub anyway. Enjoyed the songs. Shooting practice before the game was quite impressive, unfortunately they forgot the basics as the game wore on! Good day out, but wrong result.

Yesterdays ref is a Premier League referee and has refereed some of the top games in the premier this season.
