How many people expected the move on Monday?
If the site remains with an individual, what happens if that individual (ESP) moves on like the founder of this forum? I think I remember the founder talking about continuity when he set it up... and has he really gone for good? 2 weeks without replying to ESP is not long...
Surely ESP is not paying for this forum - especially given the amount of advertising we are subjected to? OUFC do not need servers to host/sponsor a forum and make money.

I tried contacting yellows for months now with no luck. I do not pay anything fir the forum. what do you mean about OUFC? They have nothing to first with thus forum.

Probably nobody expected the move on Monday. So what?
East Stand Poy (as you call him) needs to move the forum for reasons you obviously don't know, but are detailed on several other threads already. You also know nothing about the original owner's personal situation - East Stand Poy does.
And sorry you're "subjected" to adverts. Perhaps you'd like to go and subject posters on another forum to your brand of whining cynicism? Try Gardeners' World.

Also OUFC already have a forum on the official site. But it's just not used a lot. But you can go there if you like ian.

Why not run the other in tandem and let people sign up. If we lose this one then we'll have a back up to go to.
I understand the registration and ownership issues but what I don't get is executing the move if the need isn't there.
Chances are this will not run into problems and so the move is pointless and we'll no doubt lose some posters in the process.
Let people sign up to the new one, get them to save the address In favourites and bingo we have a ready made back up in case of emergency
But leave this as it is

The move is happening, 243 have signed up, the rest will follow when they have too. I really do not see what the fuss is about, its not like its going to take hours to sign up and the interface changing.

I didn't just wake up and decide to do it.

Cant see what the big deal is with moving, the only thing that will change will be your post totals and I couldnt tell you what mine is anyway. Suppose any threads that have been started today will be cut short but it is dead on here so far today so cant see that being much of a problem.

Yup, you either move or you don't. Once the decision has been made you just get on with. As long as, on Monday, its blatantly clear that this fella a closed and the location of the new site (much, much clearer than it is now). We dont want folk creeping back to the 'thisis' site.
btw, PMs work for some folk but I never look at the top bar so weeks could go passed before I realise I have a message (by which time I'm too embarrassed to reply to them!)

Can't see a problem with this change Perhaps esb is a very busy person and this is his only time he can do it He has probably more important things going on in his life than this forum Jeez a forum change how catastophic

WHAT A COCK! Awww! I've come across people like you before. You make a statement, someone counters it and you claim bullying. It's actually called debate. If your arguments are so weak that you can't continue the debate it's not my fault. Try "manning up" and standing up for yourself rather than crying about bullying. EDIT - By the way, I do know the situation surrounding the original owner of the site. Knowing a few facts yourself might help you in future debates. Sorry, I mean counter-bullying sessions.

Excellent debating point. Looks like I'll have to bow to your superior reasoning powers.
