I had reservations when i first visited this site because of the use of annoying animated avatars. I found them to be almost as distracting as the animated advertisements on the new OM site. However, I have discovered a solution. If you right-click on the avatar a menu appears and you can block it for ever! (or at least you can with FireFox).

If you don't want avatars and pictures...- go onto your profile - click modify profile - down the bottom click 'disable avatars and pictures' I'm with slideshowrob on this one. I really like that pictures can be added into threads rather than having to give a link to another site, and also like the still avatars. However the animated avatars and the scrolling text (like in your signature) are just annoying distractions to the eye.

Yeah the scrolling and the colours are 1)distracting 2)annoying 3)pointless 4)More likely to get you rumbled for doing no work

I personally believe that the great forum we had on TIU has increasingly deteriorated on this new forum. We now have offensive member names, ridiculous animations and rather iffy avatars. What used to be a rather envious forum to other clubs is now in free fall.
Am I alone in this thought?

Advice: Rage-On is available as alternative for Oxford chats and Grassrootsforum for chats with fans from other teams.

No i'm with you, it felt very professional, it was just the chat that made the site, no nead for anything flash just good old conversation. since the background has gone to white and you can hide images and avatars this site is better then it was
