custom display names have been disabled. it was annoying when users changed their name to something obscure. however if it's an issue I can allow certain users to custom it.

I think the forum would look a bit silly with no capitals and spaces in user names. And as long as its not offensive, does it really matter?

Before all this move happens, has everything been done to contact Yellows. Surely there must be someone on the forum who actually knows who he is in 'real life'? Is it worth putting something up in the matches section asking that first.

ESB's putting the effort in, let's support him.

when the new forum goes live will the long running threads such as Tess Sullivan, Dave Cudd, Stand up for Standing and the like be 'cut and pasted' across ? or alternatively will there be links to refer back to 'hot topic' / long running threads?

Hi Sarge1
Good question, unfortunately, threads cannot be copied over. I dont have the authority to do that.
Someone could restart the thread from where it left off. EVERYTHING on here now will be viewable, just not able to be posted on.

So we are creating a new forum because if something goes wrong on this one we lose all the data and have to start again?
But in order to do that we can't keep the data from this one so we loose it all and have to start again?
Do you work in the civil service by any chance?
