With Clarke, Wright, Maclaren and Maclean what a spine we have to the team. Well done CW and KT.

Very happy with this. I wonder if this means more time on the bench for Beano and if so, will he accept that?

Very happy with this. I wonder if this means more time on the bench for Beano and if so, will he accept that? I doubt it. With Midson starting last night I'd have thought Constable will be back in the first 11 for Saturday and based on his performances coming off the bench, rightly so.

Great news. Now let's work on signing him permanently... Unlikely due to high wages id imagine. But if we can get promotion, then we may be able to get him permanently

I'm beginning to get that feeling that was around in 1983/84/85 when we signed a mixed bag of players who suddenly fit together perfectly with us. It's a good feeling that players now want to stay with us.

Once a player is on a long-term loan the chances increase of him staying Not too worried anyway, we have plenty of time to sign a replacement in the summer if he does go then. Had he left now it would have been extremely difficult to replace him.

If we can beat Northampton and Shrewsbury, could be 8,000 at home against Cheltenham

If Oxford are to keep moving forward, Maclean staying till the end of the season is a massive boost, and shows we have ambition. Bring on Northampton!!!

Fantastic signing, I really thought it wouldn't happen. It shows great ambition by the club and to consider that Aberdeen, Hearts and Watford were interested in him last season( I think his high wages were key factors in him not joining them or Aberdeen permanently) makes it a massive signing for a League 2 club. I wander if he had options to go elsewhere, but chose us because he was enjoying his football, and positive attention from the fans, which he wasn't getting at Plymouth...

Constable wasn't going to sign because we couldn't afford him. Chapman wasn't going to sign because we couldn't afford him. Wright wasn't going to sign because we couldn't afford him.
So why not MacLean?!!
