with relegation looming, Charlie "I'll show no loyalty" Austin has decided to hand in a transfer request.
Let's hope he joins Millwall for peanuts and the Scum get pulled into a relegation dogfight!

Just got a text from a Scummer saying the scum have tabled a 250k bid for Beano.. apparently he knows someone who works at Swindon.
I don't believe it personally, but he said it's true
believe it when I see it

Kafuffle!!
a) Swindon won't make a bid until Austin is sold b) If some old joker working at the club knows about the deal then I would imagine the press would of had wind of it by now c) you're friends with a scummer
But let's take a look it at from a Beano point of view.
Stay with the team where he has established legend status, who are currently on the up with a decent bunch of youngsters and an eager manager or join their local rivals who are looking to be dragged into a relegation battle and fear losing all respect.
Beano is much too smart for that!

Beano supported Swindon as a lad.

And Carragher supported Everton but I couldn't see him undoing all his hard work and losing any respect he has with the Kop by signing for Everton!

Beano supported Swindon as a lad. Thats a load of utter rubbish, and keeps getting mentioned. Beano has said loads of times in the past in interviews he was a Tottenham fan!!

What annoys me most about Swindon is that they are picking up players in lower leagues for nought and getting very good money for them!

Austin will sign for Burnley in next day or two. Howe was just pipped by Wilson when he was signed from Poole and was the first league manager to show an interest in him back then. I've heard that Swindon are trying to get Paynter back from Leeds on loan for remainder of season.

Anyone know if Poole Tn get another payday if Austin moves on for a large fee? Yes, Poole have a sell-on clause. Probably a pretty minimal percentage, but will be a big boost for a small club. Austin will sign for Burnley in next day or two. Howe was just pipped by Wilson when he was signed from Poole and was the first league manager to show an interest in him back then. I've heard that Swindon are trying to get Paynter back from Leeds on loan for remainder of season. Agreed, I think he will go to Burnley by February. I think the reason Howe couldn't get him at Bournemouth is only because they had a transfer embargo imposed upon them at the time, so Swindon took him.
