I've heard from someone at the club that adult ticket prices for this match will be £20 in advance, £23 on the day of the match! If true then that's a p**s take for a temp stand with no roof!

Apparently this is actually true!
Oh and also they can't fill the whole of that stand just incase it collapses. Allegedly.

These are the prices advertised on Chesterfield's site (they are the next team to play Gillingham at Priestfield) so they will be correct.

Never ever been to Gillingham.
Anyone care to explain why they hate the scum so much? Just sound judgement or down to something in particular?

Swindon Town are seen by many fans as the club's biggest rivals, stemming from bad-tempered matches between the two teams in the past.[80] While Swindon fans generally do not consider Gillingham their biggest rivals, there was violence when they met at Priestfield in the 2005–06 season, their first meeting since a promotion play-off match in 1987.[81] Following their promotion in 1989, Maidstone United became Kent's second League side. A rivalry with Gillingham developed over the following seasons, until Maidstone's financial troubles forced them to resign from the League in 1992.[82]

One of the last times we played there, they had a fan, who was not far removed from a neanderthal, standing at the very top of the terraces, and he would just stand there and shout and scream at any Oxford fan who went anywhere near the fence, threatening to get them after the game.
I asked a steward about his behaviour, who politely replied that give it 5 mins and he would be thrown out, happens every home game. Low and behold, 5 mins later he was taken out.
He was last seen outside the away end after the game still shouting and screaming.

Just been Gillingham (for the fourth or fifth time over the years)..really is the arse end of the world..Little surprise that 'Chav' derives from there (Chatham-Vector)..complete low life reside there, although Rochester is better. After game, stood outside Britannia (shite pub by station) and old bloke asks me to hold his half smoked roll up, while he went into the shop..and I did ffs! Yes, £20 in advance..£23 on the day..cold, windy, wet..and open..so very difficult to get any noise going - although Gills were pathetic for atmosphere, given their current run and position! Dog & Bone (off High St..near Gypsy market) best of bad bunch of pubs. Looks complete hole on outside but surprisingly ok inside with food and three or four real ales on...Stone Roses on the jukebox! Swindon/Gills rivalry goes back to playoffs mid/late eighties.

Doesn't say what the allocations are does it? 2,300..Dover took full allocation. It's telling that loads (very understandably!) give Gillingham a swerve..Northampton took 267..only Southend brought more (420)..Even Port Vale only took 163!
