Funny how our hatred subsided against a certain prolific goalscorer from 'that club'; some pretended he was accepted because we nicked their favourite player but in reality I think it confined the everything- hated arguement to the dustbin and exposed quite a few fickle fans. Hands up - did you ever cheer when he scored for us? Additionally you could say that although we made a fortune from the Joey magic roundabout, he was, having worn their shirt, readily welcomed back into the fold. Did you cheer them both Eric, or are you now being violently sick ? !!!!!!!

I can honestly assure you that I never cheered a Mooney or Beauchamp goal - Even when Joey scored against the scum I kept quiet
Others on here can testify to that

When I had to pick my mates up who were travelling for a distance and the nearest place was swindon station I drove through it thinking what a shithole, the roast dinner i had there was crap, and when we saw i sign for the county ground I did a u turn and drove past it many times singing oxford songs and anti swindon songs. Had a few people get a irate before we left which was nice.

...you daft luvvies.....'love thy neighbour'......I can recommend a good Counsellor (mine) if you think this will help! Anyway our loveable? Brahama Bull lives in Swindon - you know, him of OxVox fame....maybe he's a plant? Apart from having a head like a hard boiled egg with marks on it and tattoos which make him look more akin to a gangster, I find him quite a reasonable guy (just!) I shall say a prayer for you lot............................ ;D

Yes, yes Bob, but what about the lamp posts?
I worked for a day in swindon once. I must admit I bought a sandwich and a cold drink. Can't say I felt good about it.

I have a dilemma! I hate the place, it is the arsehole of the world, and don't get me started about their bloody silly magic roundabouts. I yell abuse at the so-called stadium as I drive past!
So what am I doing in the damn place?
My daughter lives there...my grandaughter was born there and my daughters partner is paid a shed load of money by Honda to work there!
I have to visit the place, on a ooh far to regular basis, and eat the food and drink the drink. This makes me a bad person.
I can only plead circumstances beyond my control!!

I think I remember you popping in YellowHoods I live in Swindon and have done for 12 years or more. I am a Botley boy born and bred and am as ardent Oxford fan as anyone on this forum. I hate and detest Swindon Town. I hate their supporters but some of them are nice people and some are 'friends'. They hate us as much as we hate them. I'd say that the length of time we have spent apart in league terms, has increased that hatred. I cannot wait for the day we meet again in League action. Swindon has its dumps and numpty people, you only have to go shopping in town to realise that but the facilities here are, dare I say it, better than what was offered in Oxford when I grew up there. Just like to thank Bob for bringing my location to the front of peoples mind. Stupid fool!

BB, most of us are already aware of where you live and it hasn't stopped you being one of the clubs most ardent fans and probably its most successfull fund-raisers, hoever having said that it does explain a lot - there had to be a reason for some of your eccentricies !!!!!

To be honest I can't be bothered hating a bunch of people I don't know. I worked in Swindon for a very short time and even though I only went to my office one day a week the place made me ill so I had to leave. I was based in the office above the station and had direct sight from my desk to their ground so you can understand the effect it had on me. Fortunately I was able to get the train from Didcot so managed to keep out of the town as much as possible. I even had to attend a team meeting at their ground once and that finished me off. I don't really know why but I hate Luton more than Swindon and I also had to work there for a while. Whilst confessing my sins I also have to say that Joey is the most exciting player to have played for the club in the 30 years I have been attending games. Sorry to all you haters of the Swine.

The day Joey returned to the club, Jimmy P & I were given the task of moving some boards from the suppoters club tothe beech Road for the press conference to announce his return. As we walked behing the shelf, we were greeted by a chery Des Bremner (Ex Villa player for those too young), who was working for the PFA & from memory had been involved in brokering the deal. Jimmy P went in to some tirade about scummer Beauchamp coming back, the wording which I can't remember, but the jaw drop expression on Bremner's face will live with me forever. Funny how our hatred subsided against a certain prolific goalscorer from 'that club'; some pretended he was accepted because we nicked their favourite player but in reality I think it confined the everything- hated arguement to the dustbin and exposed quite a few fickle fans. I think it's totally pathetic and is perpetuated by morons who for some inexplicable reason have to have things in their lives to hate and be aggressive towards and who think they're hard when in fact they're pissweak sheep because they're scared to stand up and actually say "You know, this is totally pointless and brainless". You all just go along with thick things because you're scared not to conform and if you don't similar morons might say you're not a proper fan.
