So two players that have gone massively off the boil in the past couple of years decide to go and give being a big fish in a small pond a go instead, basically.

I've just looked at Bridge's stats, and he's only made 130 club appearances since 2003

Bridge is one of the most overrated players ever IMO. I just don't know what people see in him.

How he gets picked for England is a mystery I don't think it's really down to that - Ashley Cole also arguably ''saw the money and the lifestyle and became a tosser'' yet he's one of the best in the world in the same position. Wayne Bridge simply just never had that much talent. Stephen Warnock with pace.

Rate Warnock far higher than Bridge...
He is dreadful. That game against Croatia where we didnt qualify for 2008 was the worst full back display I have ever seen at that level.

If I were a woman, I'd rather have Bridge's affection than terry's......

I think the reason he got picked for England was that despite being rubbish, he was actually the second best English left-back for a while!

I think Baines is easily the 2nd best left back now, followed by Gibbs

now yes, but a few years back Bridge was the best we had as back up, which says a lot about the players we develop.

Do they need to sign anyone? Unbeaten in the league, going strong in European Competition, and through to the 4th round of the cup. I'd say maybe not....
