Maradona to take over at Blackburn in next few days. Totally bizarre but you have to say that it would be sensational for the premiership. Its ridiculous moves like this that make football so captivating. You couldnt make it up.

I more or less concur with what the bald one said.
The premiership might be a circus of a league with its crazy owners, constant sackings, egomaniacal managers, pampered histrionic players, obscene...well...everything - but it's compelling. I liken it to car crash TV.
Maradona at Blackburn would be very interesting. Doomed to failure because he's just not a very good coach, he skates through on charisma and presence, but great to watch unfold. I really hope it happens.
To be honest they cold probably land a few decent Argentinian players if it happens, if the money's really there. Not the Messis of this world obviously but second tier Argentine internationals nonetheless.

I think having an Argentinian manager just cos he used to play for the national team is a complete joke....
Oh hang on.....

I'd manage Blackburn for an over inflated salary if I wasn't working already.

Can you imagine other managers trying mind games with him?
He'd probably shoot them!
