just seen he has turned down another job to stay with ballmouth, fair play, there is still loyalty in football. not surprising though as the way managers are being sacked on a whim these days.

Maybe he is just prompting Bournemouth to offer him more but wants to stay

Maybe he is just prompting Bournemouth to offer him more but wants to stay Why is it if a manager stays or goes everyone thinks the worst or sinister reasons? Maybe he's a geniune bloke and likes his job at Bournemouth?

Expected to be named the new boss of Burnley any day soon. Hardly. He hasn't even spoken to them yet. Compo hasn't been agreed. Still a long time to go there.

He's announced to his players that he's leaving - Burnely applied for permission to speak to him, which was granted and Saint Eddie is off.
Not so loyal now are you Eddie?

With the budget he will have there (they get parachute payments for next 2 years) - and they are in no debt - he will have a great chance to go to the Premiership.
As long as the Cherries are compensated - I think its okay. He has not jumped at the first jobs offered - but - an appealing job has offered itself and he looks like he may move on.
I would guess not many Cherries fans would view him in a bad light. If Wilder takes us 3rd to league one and left at this stage next season - I would be gutted to lose him - but I would not view him badly either.

If your a bournemouth fan then yes u would be gutted but would respect what he has done for them, think after watching his last game tonight it showed he wanted to stay but just couldn't turn burnley down, I would say they have best squad in championship and are still a decent shout to go up if go on a decent run, wish eddie well
