Fair play to him for owning up but this will surely be on referee's minds if he takes a tumble in the box again. Never had him down as a diver myself but I guess given the situation he was in, it may have been more of a case of instincts then anything else.
I would be interested to see what Wenger has to say about this, as well as the FA, and certainly not least the Leeds fans on the return game.

As he was clearly pulled back by the Leeds defender I don't know what he means.

As he was clearly pulled back by the Leeds defender I don't know what he means. Dive Ken, dive. That's what he means. You know, when you're running along and whoops ! Down you go as if you've been taken out by a sniper in the front row. It basically means falling over without any proper contact. Hope that helps.

Or if your a Man U player it is 'making the most of a bit of contact' funny how its differant, you remember, like when Nani was 'smashed' in the face by the Fulham defender. Lets be honest they are all at it. Walcott should on one hand be aplauded for admitting his error, but the FA should also ban him for a few games as diving in the PL is getting out of hand. Tiote last week was the latest example of shameful playacting and the FA need to clamp down on it. Players like Van Persie, Nani, Ronaldo, Drogba etc have got us in to this position where it is almost an acceptable part of the game, it really isnt and should be treated in the harshest way possible.

Reading can be such a gateway to understanding. I thought he grew up in Newbury (and that text has been added to the BBC website since I commented)

Or Drogba, or Gerrard, or Ronaldo, or Van Persie, or (anyone you want to think of really). He's admitted it. Others deny it, even when the weight of evidence against them is overwhelming. Don't know who's the most stupid, Walcott for admitting it or all the others (and their managers) for claiming they don't dive when clearly they do.

Surprise surprise. An arsenal player admits to being a cheating, diving pr*ck.
Just need Gerrard and most of man U's starting XI to come out with the same thing and we'll have clear consciences all round.

Tom Daley is a diver. Theo Walcott is a footballer. :-)

A bit of a daft thing to do in admitting that he dived. You would never get Van Nistelrooy, Rooney, Nani or Ronaldo admitting that - even though the TV evidence is completely overwhelming. To fair, there was contact with the first penalty claim, but Walcott did make a meal of it. There is a school of thought that if you get the slightest touch you should hit the ground - tell me a Football League or Premier League player that doesn't do that?
The ref, Phil Dowd made the correct decisions with both penalty claims.

How about we start with Walcott and ban him for 2 matches for cheating.
He's admitted it.
Come on FA do your job and protect the integrity (ha!) of the game.
