I like Hodgson and was hoping Fergie didn't really pummel him into the ground tomorrow. I ******* hate Dalgleish, now I hope Man U batter the living day lights out of them. Gary Neville to get first hatrick of his career .

i don't understand why he couldn't do good at Liverpool i mean last season that cup run with fulham wasn't a fluke hell they where unlucky to lose the final they where the better team so something wasn't right at liverpool .

I actually agree. They have problems that go way, WAY deeper than the manager (not to say Hodgson did a good job, but still).

I was reading this morning how Fergie was given four years of rebuilding to get it right at OT. Its unthinkable that a club would give a manager four years today but, on the law of averages, had one of these big four or five been that patient then its possible that similar success might have been achieved. Although years ago, Wenger has also proved how stability can reap rewards. Truth is the fans call the shots at most clubs. I don't care who it is if 40,000 are giving you a hard time week in week out because of the performance of the manager then you will eventually pull the trigger and thats whats happened here.

Man Utd didn't win much before Fergie came so he didn't have much to live up to

thing that will annoy me is if dalgish doesn't do any better they wont give him any stick like they did roy typical scouse bias . I think i may be dreaming here because I'm going to have to agree with you danny. Liverpool fans are muppets if they think that appointing dalglish is going to be the answer to all their problems. Here we have a man who was a truly great player but who quit management first time around because he couldn't hack it. Now he is coming back to a game so irrevocably changed from when he was manager that i'd be surprised if he recognised it. They say he'll motivate the players, maybe, but trouble is many of them will probably never have heard of him and some will be unable to understand him. Added to that is the fact that Dalglish was never a man for tactical masterstrokes or manegerial wizardry. Lets face it, the squad he had then was so good he didn't need that. But now, in order to get the bunch of underachieveing rubbish at Liverpool to play anything other than the kind of garbage which lost them the Wolves, Blackburn, Blackpool and Northampton game, they need a man who can do more than simply get the players fired up and send them out to win. So when Dalglish does no better, or even worse, than Hodgson the stupid liverpool fans who chanted his name will have their just desserts. I suppose on the positive side if KD is a success then the love fans have for him will excuse the occasional faux pas woy simply couldn't get away with, but I think it is way too risky a move for a club in trouble and a man currently adored by fans who could end up a villain managing Liverpool in the championship. Still fancy them to turn Man u over tomorrow though!

Glory hunters run football now. I've a message for these 'fans'. How about accepting the ups and downs football and going along with the lows so you can properly enjoy the highs instead of demanding that 'your' team win every game, every week and every trophy every season and not throwing a tantrum like a spoilt child and insist the manager is sacked every time you lose a game. Grow up and accept it you fake plastic pricks...

serious question re: Dalglish - how on earth are all the foreign players going to understand him?! his accent is so strong most English speaking players cannot understand him. That combined with his complete lack of experience of the Premier League in recent years all seems to be a recipe for disaster........
