For me, Mickey Lewis is the perfect no 2 and is part of the furniture at OUFC, but when does his contract run out, and would Wilder consider employing a different Assistant?

I believe he's on a rolling contract, like Wilder was before Burton came sniffing around last summer.

A rolling contract is a good idea in case things go wrong but they are going very right at the moment.

I can't praise Mickey Lewis or Andy Melville highly enough. Both have this club in their hearts as well as being very good at what they do.
Chris Wilder's a fortunate manager to have them working alongside him.

I think CW is quite a loyal bloke and after 18 months with Mickey I am positive he knows what he brings to the table.
Hopefully none of the management team are going anywhere. Well, apart from League one with us ;D

Mad Dog has one thing above all else. The ability to transfer his enthusiasm to others. Extremely useful in a coach I would say.

Some one said Mad Dog was assistant manager at Doncaster when they won the conference. Was then when Penney was manager?

He was assistant when Penney was there. He's a top bloke and from what I see, him and Wilder get on very well.

Some one said Mad Dog was assistant manager at Doncaster when they won the conference. Was then when Penney was manager? I think that Mickey went to Donny after they had got promoted from League 2 to Leauge 1 in 2004. He def wasn't with them before that as I had a few beers with him before Rix's first game in charge, against Donny in April 2004. He was with Dave Penny when they started off very well in League 1 during 2004/05 and, again, in 2005/06 including a pretty decent Carling Cup campaign, where they beat Man City and lost narrowly to Arsenal after extra time in the quarter finals
