8 changes for the Torquay game, I wonder if he'll get slagged of for sensible squad rotation.

Wilder has made 8 changes from a team beaten by Southend.
Wenger made 8 changes from a team that had beaten Chelsea.
Slight difference.

I also think our 2nd string team is capable at this league anyway.
Maclean - Constable - Potter
Midson - Craddock - Green
Clist - Payne - Heslop
Clist - McLaren - Hall
Kinniburgh - Futcher- Worley - Purkiss
Tonkin - Wright - Worley - Batt

Where is Baldy? He must be furious at the 8 changes.

And we nearly did . a very lucky CNut . I was lucky enough to being there . Tommorow at training teach Craddock to pass to his team mates rather than the opposition!! simples!!

Chris Wilder needs to take the credit for this decision. He was open and honest about the performance against Southend and gave others in the squad a chance.

Not sure about this, luckily it worked on the day. You can't argue about the result but I think this was more about the CW show than what was actually good for the team. In the interviews between the two games Micky Lewis and others said this was one of those freak matches when all 11 had a 'bad day at the office' performance and would be setting out to put things right. Given and accepting this why would the mass execution be necessary? Common sense says to put out the current team with maybe one or two changes rather than one with 8 strangers !! As we know - it went in our favour but that's a quirk of football, luckily for CW. We only have to imagine the headlines, the phone-ins and the posts on here slating him if it had gone wrong. I think it was a great slice of luck for a very stubborn man but on the other hand he might be a genius after all !!!!!!!!

It didn't go 'wrong' though did it?
It shows that we have a competitive squad when we make EIGHT changes and win at Torquay who are decent. CW now has a bit of a selection headache after resting Maclean, Constable, Heslop and co.
There are no guaranteed starters, no sacred cows here - apart from Clarke, maybe.
The defence, however, worries me greatly and is probably giving CW nightmares too. We look like we are going to ship goals in every game at the moment.
It's an area we have to look at.
