I always thought Plug had a double barrel name? What ever happened to Brendan who often used to climb into the roof of the London Road stand? I might be wrong but Im sure I heard he died a few years ago?

That's Brendan , a perfect description but sadly hasn't been seen for ages? also anyone remember the friendly v C Palace early 80's? anyone remember the Oxford lad on the pitch when the players were having a kick about, the police couldn't catch him and at one stage he got back into the Beech road seats and was waving to the applause from the London Road end, think he was called Tommo? anyone remember? another one not seen for ages.

Plug is Paul Summerfield-brice & he is on facebook, but doesn't look like he's active on it.

Burchester avenue, Brampton road are all Barton addresses, I know Oxford had good support from there back in the 70's and 80's but have we much support from there today? or since the ground has moved and new people have moved into Barton has our support from there been reduced?

Plug is Paul Summerfield-brice & he is on facebook, but doesn't look like he's active on it. I remember him when Oxford were playing Reading Reading had a penalty at London rd end Pug ran onto the pitch and kicked the ball off the spot Then ran towards the beech rd and disappeared into the crowd

Last saw Brendan before the first game at the Kassam, he was sitting opposite the 'bird with some sort of banner protesting about the move, I'd prefer to remember him swinging of the rafters in the LR!

Talking of Plug; we'd just been beaten by non-league Kettering in the FA Cup replay at the Manor (Derek Dougan got their winner). After the game, plug threw a brick or something through their supporters' coach and was knicked by a copper who had been stood almost next to him! I remember Pluggy kicking the ball away from the penalty spot. Very funny!

Here's something for you older fans to think about; it was because of me that all the away fans were put in the Cuckoo Lane. We had been 'taken' by Sheffield Wednesday and I suggested to the police at a meeting in the town hall with Vulcan (originator of these posts), Mick Brown (Yes, him!) and our old Chairman Desmond Morris that away fans be frog-marched from the railway station straight into the Cuckoo lane. They heeded my advice!

They heeded my advice! I remember MB telling me that was going to happen just before it did but I thought it was before the Wednesday game, a night home match versus pompee! Probably wrong though. Oh and the wendys didn't quite 'take' the LR, if memory serves me right there was still a few Oxford in the right side who refused to be moved and fought back.
