Wondered what the rules are for segregation. Watching the Spurs v Chelsea game today, all there was between rival supporters was a line of stewards, maybe police as well, but the point is that we always have a wide gap with netting.Maybe the rules change depending on which league the teams play in. Anyone know?

Most premiership games only have 2 or 3 seat segregation we have 2 blocks - 1,500 seats!!. This deprives us of some of the best seats in the ground.

Isn't to do with the concourse underneath the north stand . I think there are only a certain amount of toilets and exits. May be wrong!

Yeah, it is a bit odd how we have half a mile of segregation yet in the top flight it's about half a yard!
Maybe it's the TVP being OTT again.

How much does it cost the club for a strip of netting?
How much would it cost the club to place X number of stewards/police to sit between fans
(X representive of the height, in seats of the North stand)

I sat on the halfway line in the south stand once and it was better than the north stand for atmosphere.

I've just written to the club and suggested that for the Macc sell-out game we play to an empty stadium. Cheaper than employing ticket office staff and stewards.

Sorry. I just assumed Kassam would prefer to save money in the first place by doing that.
I've never been in the North Stand so wouldn't know about the concourse.

In the concourse they need to put fences with huge gates below each block. This will give them fexibility with whatever combination of away/home fans by opening the gates in the fences depending on how many away fans there are. I suppose it does depend on where the toilets are positioned at the far west end of the concourse.

just deny access to toilets and catering for away fans. The benefits of the second would far outweigh the problem with the first for them

Anyone know? i would suspect it has something to do with the amount of cost, at a PL game you have loads of police or stewards between the 2 sets of fans but at the kassam they have hardly anyone between the 2 sets
