This just goes to show how hard everyone at our club is working to make us a success. OK, the weather here hasn't been as bad as in other parts of the UK but for our game to survive the weather is a great effort from all concerned. Maybe, just maybe this might silence the moaners (London Roader, Lord William, Fence End) who seem hell bent on trying to run the club down. I want to express my thanks to KT and his team, including the much maligned grounsmen. A car load is on its way from Chippy, wrapped up warm but raring to go. Come on boys, we'll make some noise, three points today and we'll be in good fettle.

Hopefully Barnet will not be prepared for this. They may have been expecting this to be postponed?
Can't imagine they'll bring many.

Well done KT and all those who helped get the game on, though I didn't think that at half time.

We'd be giving them hell had it not gone ahead and there would be 10 pages on here.
So lets make sure we give credit where its due. Making a mistake once is acceptable but twice is not in my opinion. They've learnt from last year and done a terrific job. Well done all. Apparently they were removing the covers at 6am!

LR it is very easy to constanly make vague statements like this with absolutely nothing to substantiate it. Eventually something will happen that you/other fans will not like and you will be on here saying I told you so. Why not grow some balls and actually say something with some substance instead of sitting there playing with your rod?

Well done to KT, the ground staff, and all at the club who worked so hard to get this game on.
We'll so lucky to have such a good bunch of staff at this club who put in so much time and effort to do the right thing for this club.
Well done and thanks to all of you. The pitch was in great condition all things considered.
Top effort.

I agree, well done to all concerned. Has this ruined the day for all of those negative people? Credit to Oxford Marquees and the Groundstaff in particular. Well done to Oxford United for getting the game on. But your second sentence is laughable. My day was far from runied but wait till the next cold snap when the club still don't own any pitch covers and have to rely on the goodwill of others to provide heating equipment. We can have the same debate again

We can have the same debate again Seeing as we were one of two league 2 teams to have a game on I think you're being a little harsh! Do you hear every other team slating their groundstaff?
