Ok food and drink aren't our bread and butter but they're part of it. I don't know about other stands but the service in the ox mail at half time is the worst I've ever seen. The queue builds 5 minutes + before half time and after that you've got no chance. Last Saturday there were hundreds of fans in massive queues still waiting when the match had kicked off. It's an absolute mess and as we're taking a percentage of the profit I hate it! Plus I would very much have liked a hot drink on a very cold day! I don't like to moan without offering a solution so here's a couple:
When all I want is a cold beer why do I have to wait for the woman to got to the fridge, take the top off, chuck it it the bin, go to the till take my money... Why aren't they ready? They must know a minimum number of beer sales so they don't waste any.
Why are the people who want hot food and drinks for 7 or 8 (orders) standing with me who just wants two hot drinks?
Why is the queue completely random and undefined more and more people simply find a mate at the front and say " get us a xxxxx mate".
Why arent there more people to cope with the demand? They all seem to operate at one pace... Like they're serving in a village shop?
When things get tough I expect to see the manager get stuck in. Not wander around outside the shop looking all stressed but busy carrying bits of paper and cardboard about.
Most important why isn't the thing open all match! Ok so it can't sell beer but I don't think the fa have a rule against hot bovril?
Please add you're own thoughts ideas and hopefully we can get this improved.

Why do the new franchise operators not provide a hot vegetarian option?

Have you emailed your views to the club?

It's nothing to do with the club; the catering is franchised out by the stadium company. The club could speak to stadco on our behalf, but it might be better to contact the franchisee directly.

It's got everything to do with the club, the whole match day experience should be their responsibility.
Kelvin should sit in the OM Stand for one match and experience it for himself, then implement or recommend any changes

It's no problem,
When you hear the shouts of Bladderman you know it's about 20 mins until half time, join the queue then and you should get served before the second half starts (just)
Who can afford their prices anyway??

Id have thought this is exactly the sort of thing OxVox should be dealing with on behalf of fans

At 10 to 3 they had run out off pies and pasties. The Tetleys they gave me at half time was frozen in the can. When i told the lad to exchange it he said they were all frozen, had a lager instead.

Why do the new franchise operators not provide a hot vegetarian option? I'm not sure how much demand there would be for a hot vegetarian - with or without mustard?

i think the whole think is over-priced crap! anyone whos been to kidderminster harriers will tell you how it should be done,,,pies and mash, curry, hot soup etc, etc, at reasonable prices.. :-*this would also stop people buying food around the ground and put the money in the clubs pocket!

What we need to do is franchise the catering to Kidderminster FC

Kelvin should sit in the OM Stand for one match and experience it for himself, then implement or recommend any changes Kelvin has enough to sort out. Kassam's franchisees organise the catering so it is the Stadco and the franchisees that should be criticised. My belief is that nothing will change until people start to refuse to spend money in outlets that provide poor products at rip off prices with poor service. If people continue to use these outlets the problems will persist. Would they accept this service at their local pub? I rarely use the catering at the ground but bought some drinks in the SSU at the last game. I queued for most of half time to get them. There were few staff and they seemed disorganised with no idea of how to serve food efficiently.

Why do the new franchise operators not provide a hot vegetarian option? Try the meat pie! (now 100&% meat free)
