A couple of little things that spoke volumes to me...
1. Immediately turning towards the Oxford fans and applauding when his name was first chanted
2. Coming over at the end and kissing the badge (on his jacket)

A fine example of exactly the type of "fan" Chris Wilder was talking about. CW hasn't said anything a section of our "support" (and by this I don't mean those calling for his head, but those hurling personal abuse at CW and his players) didn't fully deserve.

On the basis of one, albeit very good, victory i'm not sure the full on CW love in is entirely justified in returning. Every fan has a right to demand a change in management, but personal abuse is right out in all situations.
Nice to see Wilder showing the passion for the job and club, his public relations skills might not be 100% but at least his heart is in the right place.

I have been a 'Wilder supporter' in recent weeks while a bunch of idiots call for his head, people who have now suddenly started worshipping him again after one Win (We've still lost 7 in 9 remember) and no doubt will turn on him if we lose another game. Our fans are so f*cking quick to turn when things aren't quite perfect.

Our fans are so f*cking quick to turn when things aren't quite perfect. That's the sad truth. I'm a big CW fan, the slagfest on here recently about him was ridiculous, some of it justified but calling for his head was embarrassing, but the vote thread on here came out 75% or so in favour of him staying didn't it? One win doesn't make him a tactical genius overnight but it does restore some of the balance. He's learning his managerial trade but he's no mug, whatever a ranting minority on here may like to think.
