I wonder in the two years he's been here how often CW can honestley say he knows his best eleven ?
In my opinion the only real times its been truly settled was the team that won the play offs and the team at the very start of this season. Most fans could have reeled off the starting 11 and been right.
But at pretty much all other times there has always appeared doubt over the selection of at least one or two and right now I think about 9 are unsure of their place and hardly anyone would be brave enough to put too much money on trying to second guess Wilders team.
I don't think he knows where to accomodate Craddock, who to play up front, does he play Potter, are we missing Heslop, do we need Halls height, is Futcher better than Worley, Purkiss or Batt, Kinniburgh or Tonkin. Its a right mess.
There are probably 10 big calls that I think Wilder is struggling to make. My feeling is that he's far too rash in discarding certain players but much too patient with others. Whether he feels that certain players are just one good game away from taking off - namely Craddock - I don't know but some of his selections of late are bewildering to say the least.
Just have some faith in what you consider your strongest eleven and stick with them and stick with a system that you believe in. Let them bed in, become familiar and hopefully see the rewards.

This what I consider our best 11. Others I'm sure will disagree.
Clarke Purkiss Worley Wright Kinni
Potter Heslop Payne Clist Beano Craddock

Well lets tak a look at the team that started the season against Burton Albion and the one that started against Gillingham.
Burton Albion Gillingham
Clarke Clarke Batt Worley Wright Tonkin Kinniburgh Futcher Wright Purkis Bulman Heslop Hall Clist Wotton Payne Constable Midson Green Potter Maclean Craddock
Just 2 of the original starting line up turned out for the Gillingham game. 9 changes to the first 11 in only 17 league games. Now if Wilder knew his best starting 11 on August 7 he has certainly had a major rethink in late November.
It would be wrong to call Wilder the "tinkerman" as it does not reflect the major changes he has made in such a short time.

CW seems to lose faith too quickly with all but a few players like Beano/Craddock and Wright. Clarke is reasonably safe. Everyone else is in/out before you can appreciate their contribution.
