if Wilder goes then you will get what you want and we will go back down! Changing the manager never brings instant success. Err, didn't we have instant success when CW took over from Patterson? We certainly started win ning games almost immediately. Oh the irony.

That is true but how often does that actually happen and also he took over from Patterson - a manager who clearly was out of his depth!

Unlike being a player, if you are a good young manager like Wilder then the sjy is the limit depending on what he learns and what oppertunities he gets. In 10 years Wilder could be a BSS manager or a Prem Manager.

Millman, you may have a point but to dismiss the posting so bluntly is wrong. I suspect we are all pretty much on the same page in that we don't want all the hard work to be undone as none of us want conference football again but to lay the entire blame at the door of Chris Wilder is wrong. Being great fans isn't just about turning out in numbers for home games and taking more away support than most other clubs in the league , it's about supporting the club - players, manager, chairman et al - at all times, not just the good ones. I think our advantageous finances are somewhat compromised by our rent commitments but we are still in a position to compete and did precisely that for the first two months of the season. I guess we have heard that last chorus ever of "Chris Wilder my Lord". How fickle people are................... No, it was heard being sung by us fans at Chesterfield Tuesday, before we were winning the game, how fickle fans are.....

bluealice, what a well thought out response. Steve - Don't worry about "bluealice". It's a founder member of the Hard of Thinking Brigade and probably didn't read further than your title.
