I've read a lot of threads about TVP on this forum and have always tried to see things from both sides.
But tonight I experienced, first hand, the overly physical approach of TVP and their down right negative approach to OUFC fans.
Tonight I did NOTHING but stand my ground against a group of Gills fans intent on physical abuse to myself. But did TVP defend me? Did they f**k! Instead they saw one side of the story (an Ox fan engaging in a physical exchange with opposition fans) and sided with the Gills fans and physically dragged me across the car park (with the help of TWO horses) and parked me against the wall of the bowling alley where they prevented me from getting a bus/taxi to town, resulting in me being forced to get my wife and kids (5 & 7) to drive 45mins to pick me up.
They busted my thumb and showed sod all sympathy for my wife and kids, and when I approached their van to ask for names and numbers, they drove off!
I've always wanted to believe that the TVP were there to do 'the right thing' and back Ox fans ahead of away fans, but tonight I realised that they regard Ox fans as 2nd class citizens and ultimatey couldn't give a rats arse about our welfare at the Kass.
Sad as it is, after 20 years of watching Ox at home, I have never felt more like packing it in than I do tonight, and will be writing a letter to Mr Thomas to make it clear that TVP are undermining the good work he is doing for the club.
I'm sat here at home, desperately trying to understand TVPs actions, but the simple fact is they judged a book by its cover, sided with away fans over home, and showed ZERO compassion for 3 people who weren't even at the game.
This needs to stop...NOW.
