Bournemouth have 4 stands already. Aldershot only have three sides with stands.

We may only have 3 stands but at least we use them all
Unlike tomorrows opponents- that will be weird

Melanie Vass at the echo wrote the article. That's all I can tell you, not what the article says....... mind is a wandering

It is about time we thought about a fourth stand but I don't think that will happen until we are back in the big time ie up to League One

Watford now effectively only have 3 stands as the old main stand was condemned so the roof has been removed and only the changing rooms are used.

A fourth stand, if we owned the ground for a start, would be a monumental waste of money.
Although our support is fantastic we are still only getting just over 7000 (boyed by Gillinghams good number yesterday) in for the average game compared to our capacity of 12500.
If the club have got a spare million or so lying around, the last thing we should be using it for is putting up another stand!

You are right it is very unlikely that the stand will be built before we have a good chance of getting into the Championship unless it can be financed alongside some sort of income generating scheme. The club needs all of the stands to be 85% full every game before commiting to the extra capacity.

Isn't there a clause in the contract with the stadium company that they must build the fourth stand within two years of our reaching the Championship (or was it League 1)?

This reminds me of one of my favourite chants when the travelling Oxford fans at Bournemouth sang "Sh*t ground no fence"

Long way away probably. Kassam wants too much for the stadium.

When the 4th stand is needed, I quite like the idea of one of these; www.stadiarena.com/benefits.stadium_revenueMaybe with a slight redesign so that the seats are closer to the pitch. If it had an indoor capacity of 3-4,000, hosting concerts or shows twice a week throughout the year would certainly go some way towards paying for it.

All the seats in the bottom tier of one end are removable so a stage can be inserted into the stand thus providing better facilities and the ability to sell more seats. Not sure if the kasstad would be much of a music venue though. I know there've been a few relatively high profile gigs there but i'm not sure I'd want to go to one.

I think I'd want OUFC on the seats, not Reading!

If we do buy it ultimately maybe we can have the picture of Kassam being booted off
