Why has the wire on the back of the OMS gone? People wanted to hang their flags up last night but had no where to do so.

It's actually been rested just behind the concrete wall in the "No Man's Land"
Health and Safety rubbish maybe?

Just as wel it was gone, judging by some posts it may have got used by some of the suicidal types following that performance

It's been removed by health and safety incase someone decided to remove one of the metal bars and throw it at someone... Might not be back up for some time if ever apparantly, rather annoying as even though the banners couldn't be seen very well before on there, they will be less visable now as with people standing in front you can't see them

i remember the good old days of jumping around behind it whenever we scored a goal! Maybe it's another police conspiracy this so they can arrest people and then hang them with the actual metal wire itself!

Of course for Health and Safety this creates a whole new set of dilemmas:
1. Will there now be flags on the gangways? 2. Will the metal end up around a swans neck? 3. Will it end up in Africa for use as a weapon in a genocidal war? 4. WILL FANS NOW BE MORE EASILY ABLE TO SLIP UP BEHIND THERE AFTER GOALS AND BOUNCE ARUOND HAVING LOTS MORE FUN!!!!! :-)

Funny if you should mention people hoping back behind it, couple have already done it on the first game...

The club have said it's not down to them, but too the stadium company. Like you said it's seen better days, ut you'd ahve thought they would have put one up straight away!
