Constable - £250k Deering - £100k Batt - £50k Potter - £50k Jake Wright £50k (Crawley would surely pay this if he became available) Green - £25k Woodley ?? Compare and contrast with the lineup shown here: www.rageonline.co.uk/mainpage.php?type=team&date=2008-12-26 We've come a long way in the last 18/19 months or so. One or two reasonable players in the line up for Wilder's first match, but they were loan players such as Haldane, Constable. Only Deering out of our contracted players had any sort of value at all and even then, it would have been a speculative small fee with add ons for a 19 year old with 3 months experience playing Conference football. Based on the above, I think that the policy of giving longer contracts to players under 24 years old is the right one - hopefully by this time next year, the above list of valuations will total a lot more than the £500k or so that I have estimated (or possbly over-estimated ).

I think if Deering continues his progress he is the player most likely to go for a decent fee first. In excess of £100k I reckon. Wright I think is worth as much too.
It will be interesting to see how Woodley progresses.

We know we have got some gems such as Beano, LSD and possibly Woodley, but I wonder which of the new boys we'll all be speculating about come the end of the season.
Now that we are back in the league, we can get some serious dosh if we have a Simeon Jackson or Adam le Fondre on our hands.
The great thing is that someone like Harry Worley, who doesn't exactly come with rave reviews from Crewe fans, is young enough and has all the attributes to be moulded into a top centre half.

On Football Manager, Kinny is worth about £100k.

A lot of our new signings are young, which seems a very positive statement for the clubs future. It also increases their value a lot if they improve and have a good season this year. Value can often be measured by age and whatever league you are in.
Another factor is the length of contracts we now have our young talent on which makes them much more expensive to steal (until the contract nears its ends).
as for the evaluations at the start of the thread I would guess we won't be able to tell until we see how they perform this season. Do well and they will be worth more, do badly and they would probably be worth nothing.
