Hi can you generally park at the ground right up to kick off or what is the recommended time to get there by. And whats it like getting out afterwards these days is it better to park a little bit away ? Cheers in advance for any advice.

You can park right up until kick-off but you'll probably end up in the overflow car park behind the cinema/bingo hall. I don't think it's particularly good to get out of afterwards.
To get away pretty quickly, either get there a little early and park at The Priory maybe and have a pint or on the allocated parking on the roads.

If you are parking on the approach road (Grenoble Road) from Watlington Road then prepare for a bit of a walk unless you get there by 1.00-1.30pm

Cheers sihath, I guess we will get there about 1.30-1.45 and be coming from the other end of GR, can you generally park on GR by that sort of time or are you more likely to have to park in Sandford village? Cheers again.

McVicar: not sure about parking Sandford direction.
Easy to park Watlington Road end and when you leave, just go round one of the roundabouts and back the other way!

I tried that a few years back when we played Bristol Rovers. Bargain price only £30-00 if you paid within fourteen days

Why park your car? Avoid the strain by going by Bus, motorbike or bike!

Cheers again. Parking in Sandford is ok, it's about 20minute or so walk but you'll wait longer than that in the overflow carpark so it's not too bad. Whenever we have a big gate then I park on the main road through, just off the dual carriageway (A4074).

Park by the shops on BBL. 5 minute walk to ground. Chippy & convenience store right there. Easy get away afterwards onto the Garsington Road.

Bit difficult. Bus to Reading station, Train from Reading to Oxford and then another bus No motorbike Bike it 40 miles, I don't think so Drive in under an hour...last option for me

Parking at the ground is fine in the east car park until an hour before kick off whereupon it becomes full. Some buggers park in non spaces and others awkwardly. And it takes ages to get out of the car park after the match too. Just my perspective.
