Hello,
my first post on the new forum!
I am taking my girlfriends nephew (7 yr old) to the game on saturday. I was thinking of sitting in the family area, i usually sit in the middle of ox mail stand. I just wondered if anyone on here has taken similar age children to a game in either the Family area or ox mail stand and what there experiances were and if they would have any recomendation on where would be best.

There is a lot of kids that age in The Ox Mail stand every home game.... Waving there flags at the back Only joking boys!!!! There is a couple kids who go regualy in Ox Mail. My GF's niece prefers it on side as can see better. But she knows a lot of the songs from sitting in Ox Mail, which her parents didn't like hearing her sing!!! lol.

I'd recommend the North Stand, its a quid cheaper than SSL and you get a far better view. It's a shame your gf's nephew is 7 as under 7's are free.

I occasionally bring my eldest with me (7) and would never think of sitting anywhere other than the OM stand.
He's been coming since he's 5 and knows the rule 'what he hears at football stays at football'
I know the kass is a far cry from the Manor but the OM stand is as near to the London Road as my boys will ever get, I'd never want to deprive them of that.
Ps both my boys were at Wembley and were at the green man before the game...they loved every minute of it!

Depends what she's been brought up on. If she's not used to going to games SSL family might be better plan. If she doesn't mind crowds and shouting, OM may be ok. My youngest didn't like OM so moved back to SSL for her season ticket.

I took my two (aged 6 and 4) to their first game at the stadium last week and I booked seats in the SSL family stand just in case. Despite the result they loved it and we're going up again this afternoon.
Good view too as I always sit in the OM when I go up on my own.
taking my own snack today though cos £10 for a warm bottle of beer,2 cokes and 2 kit kats is shocking!

hello,
thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread - decided to go in the ox mail stand but lower down than usual. Will see how we get on - just hope that he enjoys the game, and that we get a win for him.

Only issue if the price doesn't matter is whether they're ok with crowds and noisiness, Ox Mail is a much better football "education"
